DESCRIPTION:The first day of school is Tuesday\, September 8th from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. \n– all grade 6 students will meet in the gym\n– all grade 7 students will meet in the library\n– all grade 8 students will meet in the fitness studio \nWe will begin our regular time schedule the following day\, with every day starting with an 8:35 a.m. signal bell and concluding at 2:50 p.m. \nDuring the first week (Tuesday\, Sept. 8 to Friday\, Sept. 11)\, students will be involved in a variety of important grade-wide community-building/start-up activities.  They will be joining their advisory class and beginning their regular course schedule on September 14th.  As lockers will not be assigned until that Monday\, we ask that you keep most of your school supplies at home during our shorter start-up week\, bringing only items your teachers request you to bring for start-up activities\, then bringing all your remaining supplies on September 14th.

DESCRIPTION:YouthPass is a photo bus pass for youth\, aged 6 to 18 years\, offering unlimited travel throughout the transit region.  For added convenience to students and families\, BC Transit will take YouthPass photos at your school for one day only. \nFor the school photo shoot\, the student must bring: \n– a cheque for $315 made out to BC Transit\n– valid ID that shows the student’s date of birth\n– a completed application form (BC Transit YouthPASS Application).  The form must be signed  by a parent or guardian \nYouthPasses will be distributed by the school office at the end of September. \nThis YouthPass is valid from October 1\, 2015 – June 30\, 2016.

DESCRIPTION:Please come and join us for our Meet the Teacher evening on Wednesday night.  Teachers will be in their classrooms from 6:30 to 7:30 and they are looking forward to meeting you.  As our PAC for this year still needs to fill our President and Vice-President positions and many of our members are new to Lansdowne we will not be hosting a picnic prior to the event.  We appreciate your support and our new PAC looks forward to hosting other events for you this year.
